When the Clean Air Act was passed, Section 608 required anyone purchasing or handling refrigerants to be certified. Note this is a Federal Certification for the whole USA, not any state certification nor licensing. You need a Georgia Conditioned Air Contractors License to install, service, or repair any HVAC unit. This EPA-608 Certification is a requirement for your application for the license in Georgia. The EPA has listed the HVACR Institute at Ferris State University to serve as an authorized Technician Certification Program according to the Clean Air Act Section 608. Our Instructor; Garrison Michael, is a registered Proctor for Ferris State University to administer this EPA test. |
